    David,

    Again, a thrill to hear you and see you at College Church. Your message was helpful to me.
    I’ve long been striving for contentment. In my walk now, it boils down to not focusing on what I don’t have or even what I could have had, but rather the insignificance of what I want but do not have (e.g., freedom from physical pain) compared to what I do have, namely, the Spirit walking alongside me and an eternity of unspeakable joy. When I focus on that, I have a contented smile that nothing can wipe off my face. Just finished reading The Hiding Place – a workbook if you will on contentment in the midst of many forms of pain and sorrow. Thank you.
